Disney’s DuckTales Game Boy
Mega Man X Super Nintendo
Mega Man games have been around since the days of the NES. With the arrival of the Super NES, Capcom reinvented the franchise and brought us Mega Man . Man in a world gone mad. The reploids, robots inspired by Mega Man X, or just X for short, have gone Maverick, rebelling against humans in an uprising. The Maverick Hunters, led by Sigma, had been keeping things under control... except that Sigma himself became Maverick one day, and the situation became a crisis.
Dragon’s Lair The Legend Game Boy
Made by the same company that created the NES version, Dragon's Lair The Legend is slightly better than the NES game, but not by much. The good news is that it attempts to tell a new story: the evil wizard Mordroc attacked a caravan containing the mystical Stone of Life, which, of course, gives the bearer unlimited power and immortality, and, of course, kidnapped Princess Daphne. However, one of Daphne's servants has broken the Stone of Life into numerous pieces and scattered them across the land. Now Dirk must pick up all the pieces, stop Mordroc, and save Daphne once again.
Ninja Gaiden Atari Lynx
Ninja Gaiden… two words etched in your memory if you were a gamer from the eighties. It was an institution on the NES, and a classic arcade beat-em-up. But many don't realize that the arcade game and the NES franchise were two completely different games. They bore little resemblance to each other. While NES Ninja Gaiden was a side-scrolling adventure, with a deep story. The arcade game was a more traditional Final Fight type game. With strong emphasis on action. And it's the arcade game that came to Lynx. In fact, this might be the *only* place you can play arcade NGs outside of a real arcade. And if you've never played it, you're missing out. Because, once again, Lynx handles the arcade action perfectly.
Ristar Game Gear
Adventure Island NES
Hudson's Adventure Island for the NES is one of those games that fits into the system's predominant genre; is one of the most polished, colorful and well-known side-scrolling action games. However, it is one of those titles that generates mixed reactions and opinions from players and critics ranging from one end of the scale to the other.
Toxic Crusaders Sega Mega Drive
Looney Tunes Game Boy
Sunsoft's Looney Tunes for the Game Boy, released in 1992, is quite unusual. Not so much in its chosen genre since it is a platform game. Generally like that, at least. The peculiarity is that it presents several protagonists instead of just one, offering a list of some of the best-known Looney Tunes characters, thus fulfilling what is described in its title. Let's see if that's all the game has to offer.
The Incredible Hulk Master System
In 1994, the American company Gold launched an exclusive game for the Sega and Super Nintendo consoles and under license from Marvel Comics, The Incredible Hulk. The Incredible Hulk was released for the Megadrive, Super Nintendo and its little 8-bit sisters the MasterSystem and the portable Game Gear, as you can imagine in 1994 when 32-bit consoles began to appear, it was increasingly rare for new games to come out in Master Console System.
Mega Man II Game Boy
Mega Man II for the Game Boy, not to be confused with Mega Man 2 for the NES, is the second of five spin-offs developed for Nintendo's esteemed handheld. (In Japan, this game was known as Rockman World 2, easier to distinguish from its Famicom progenitor, Rockman 2.) Like the previous Game Boy entry, Mega Man II's development was not handled by Capcom, but was instead outsourced to another development team, one that seems moderately familiar with the source material.
