Everything you need to know about Double Dragon
The version Atari Lynx from the popular video game Double Dragon was programmed, published and distributed by Telegames in 1993, and is a very faithful version of the original, with a small defect that we will talk about later, which makes it a great game for The Latidos. It would have been one of the best Lynx games for one or two players if it weren't for this bug.
The gameplay is exactly the same as the original or any version of it. Control billy or billy and jimmy if we play with friends using the link cable we will have to go through each scene to complete our mission so at the end of the scene we will have to fight the boss at the end sometimes the scene creates effects deep. like in games like Final Fight or Golden Ax.
Double Dragon Gameplay
As for the game, it must be said that our control over the character is very simple, we can easily perform actions from both sides, and at this point we must react very well to the orders that are transmitted. The laptop keys, although I'm talking about the bug that makes it not as playable as the arcade version or the Mega Drive version, it's just the low resolution and the character size is too big. On the other hand, the game has the same duration as the original and has a good level of difficulty.
Graphics
The technical part is very good. The character sprites are fixed compared to the arcade version except for the generous size, their animations are very good and the enemies are also well done, also very similar to the original, although the Apopo sprite has changed. Despite the low resolution, the scenes are varied, detailed and well created.
Music and Sound
Musically we find quality melodies, as well as varied and powerful sound effects.
Final reflection
Overall a good conversion of Lynx's Ssangyong, albeit at a higher resolution, probably the best game to beat on the handheld. Although highly recommended.
