Everything you need to know about Animaniacs
Despite animaniacs It was initially a television program, later it had its own license videogame due to its popularity. In typical platform games, the player usually defeats enemies instead of running towards them. Yakko, Wakko and Dot, Pinky and Brain, and Ralph, the guard of the Warner StudiosThey are important characters.
There were two games made by Konami, both unrelated to each other in terms of gameplay. Both games were created for the Super nintendo and the Sega Dreamcast Y game boy, and were released in 1994 and 1995, respectively.
Brief History Animaniacs
Our story begins…
in the 1930s, a period considered by many to be the golden age of animation. Many Hollywood studios were putting out reels and reels of new cartoons. During this time, one of Warner Bros.'s most eccentric and gifted animators created Warner Brothers and Warner Sister, specifically, YAKKO, WAKKO and DOT.
However, from the beginning, these three were labeled as too crazy, too wild, and too crazy to be let loose on an unsuspecting public. His comic genius was too ahead of the times. Behind top-secret closed-door meetings, studio executives, VPs, managers, managing VPs, CEOs, VPs of administration, and a few people who were really important, decided to immediately lock them in the Warner Bros. Water Tower.
They remained imprisoned in that water tower for over 60 years, when they escaped! The Warner brothers and their sister immediately began having fun wreaking havoc on movie sets throughout the studio. It is still his favorite pastime.
Just the other day…
Actually, it was the day before yesterday, but that doesn't matter... the writers at Warner Bros. completed a script that could win a prestigious award. The script disappeared! It seems that Pinky and the Brain They took the script from him to sell it and use the money it would bring to dominate the world. But Pinky, carrying the script in a distracted daze, dropped scenes from the script on various sound stages throughout the studio! The CEO of Warner Bros. has asked the Warner brothers to find and deliver the completed script to him soon, in the hopes that they won't get into really serious trouble... a typical management decision.
«Brief History of the Beginning of the Animaniacs Game«
Gameplay Animaniacs
In Animaniacs, the 3D side-scrolling platformer, the level can be reduced to several moving lanes or simply a side-scrolling phase in certain sections. Players must attempt to traverse the sound stages of the Warner Bros. studios while searching for the pages of a movie script. Most levels require players to make it to the end, with a boss fight beginning towards the end of the stage, which can be dealt with by interacting with stage props.
The run button can be pressed twice to perform a running attack, with which you can destroy certain objects and defeat certain enemies, climb to higher platforms by stacking two or three Warners in a tower formation, and a slot machine in the bottom of the screen. Additionally, to gain bonuses or penalties when slots align with certain characters after collecting a certain amount of coins, you can also pick up items and throw them at enemies.
When the player presses the R button, Wakko and Dot can be switched, but all Warners play the same way.
If the Warner is hit by a certain object, a stage hazard, an enemy, caught by Ralph, or falls into a bottomless pit or water, the player will lose a Warner. A Warner is captured if the player loses all three Warners or when all three Warners are captured. The stack's movement height power is reduced when a Warner is lost. If a continuation is available, the player can resume play from the beginning of the current stage, but starts with the last lost Warner.
When a Warner is captured or lost, the Water Tower stage opens on the Studio map, where the player can free the Warner. An ascending platform and a boomerang are required to reach the top of the Water Tower while moving away from Wakko and Dot, who are trying to push the Warner off the platform. When the WB door opens, the captured Warners are freed and the player returns to the studio map. If the player fails the scenario, no Warner is lost, so the scenario can be played as many times as necessary. Lost or captured Warners can also be recovered by landing on Wakko.
The slot machine can be used to earn more lives or coins scattered throughout the Warner Bros. studio (including games controlled by Warner Bros.). Players can collect coins scattered throughout the studio, which can be used to use the slot machine. or win continues. Coins are usually located in certain areas, attached to certain characters on the stage, found in boxes or breakable objects, and can also be won or lost on the slot machine. Coins can also be obtained by jumping on certain enemies.
Coins can also be won or lost on the slot machine. A coin corresponds to a silver coin, while a dime corresponds to a gold coin. Collecting 100 coins will grant the player a continue, but they can also be obtained from the slot machine.
After the Studio HQ tutorial sequence, the game opens to the Studio Map. There are four sound stages around the studio map, and the editing room opens after all other stages have finished. Players finish a level by reaching the end of the stage or defeating the boss that inhabits it. The game is paused when the Select button is pressed and levels can be re-entered once completed.
Warners can move in any direction and get closer to the sound stages by pressing the A button on the studio screen to enter them. Ralph, a wandering character who speeds up and chases players if they come into his sight, appears throughout the studio. If the player enters the study screen, they must play an escape phase in which they must flee from Ralph.
Graphics
The game gets it here. It looks exactly like the cartoon and I mean exactly. Boy, was I excited to be the kid I was when I first saw these graphics. I was hoping for a recreation of the show in this game. While people may look at the graphs and wonder what I'm talking about, you have to realize that this is a cartoon. I can tell you that I see almost no difference between the game and the cartoon graphics. Amazing job, but why couldn't you have made a good game too?
Music and Sound
Another very strong aspect of this game is the sound. The show's title track echoes throughout the first level. I was in heaven my first time through this game. In fact, I could sing you the entire opening song back in the day. Some of the music in later levels can be a little choppy, so it cuts the sound out of ten. I was very happy to see music from the show included in the game. It would have worked better if they actually tried to deliver a stellar game.
Final reflection
The first time I played this game, I loved it. But I was 10 at the time, so what would you expect? At that age, we'd have a better time pressing buttons on a remote control. I'm not trying to criticize the game, I'm just saying it was a good game that could have been better. Why couldn't it be a multiplayer game? It's always fun when a friend is with you enjoying the fun. You can use all 3 Animaniacs in the game, pressing C whenever you feel like you need the change. Trust me, in this game you're going to need all three. Each of them has a certain power that is necessary to pass certain parts of the game.
Overall, this is a pretty average game.
