In 1992, Ocean Software produced, published and distributed Addams Family for mega drive, Super nintendo, Amiga and Atari ST, as well as for Game Boy, NES, NES, Game Gear and Master System. The European version of the game for Super Nintendo went on sale in August of the same year. The game, which is a platform game based on the 1991 film of the same name, stars Christa Ricci, who became famous after her performance in the film.
In the game, we play the role of Gomez Addams, the head of the family. We have to visit the gloomy house of Gomez Addams in search of the remaining members of her family, who have been kidnapped. The technical section is excellent. The graphics are especially pleasant, with a well-defined protagonist and varied, well-animated enemies and great final bosses, but the scenarios are the most notable, as they are well described and quite varied.
The soundtracks have great melodies and great audio quality, including the legendary Addams Family theme. The sound effects do their job very well.

Gameplay The Addams Family
The protagonist of the game is very easy to handle and the skills that can be developed are also easy to perform, so it is worth highlighting how easy it is to handle. The game has many phases and a moderate difficulty, although it is not exasperating.
The game has 14 phases, of which the plot of the movie does not follow. We will have several objects that will help us throughout the adventure, including a sword and a golf ball, but we will also have shields, shoes to run faster and a fez, which will allow us to plan for a moment. We can also get dollar coins, and for every 25 dollars we will be rewarded with one more life heart and for every 100 with an extra life.
A very fun game for Super Nintendo based on the movie of the same name, although with a very different story, and that platform fans will especially like. Highly recommended.
Graphics
For the time this game was made, these graphics are incredible. You really get a sense of this and it almost feels like you're at the Addams estate. I found the game very colorful and very vibrant. Everything is well outlined and most of the characters look like those from the shows and movies. I think Ocean did an outstanding job with what they did here. Although we are about 10 years away from the release of this game, it is still a game with one of the best graphics on the Super Nintendo. This comes from a game that was one of the first released on the system. I have to take my hat off to Ocean for his work here.
Music and Sound
Another very excellent attribute of the Addams Family. Ocean has once again given us another reason to like this game even more. They've taken a lot of the music directly from the TV series and twisted it and it works wonderfully. Some very annoying sound effects reduce this score. Other than that, the music is a very solid effort. I was very pleased considering I didn't expect much at first.
Final reflection
The Addams Family is an exceptional game. It outperforms in almost every category, but the challenge takes it down a notch. I found it almost too difficult for me. It's still a great game despite everything. Fan of the show or not, I highly recommend this game to anyone. It's fun, full of good nostalgic moments, and will keep you busy for hours.
