The Amazing Spider Man Lethal Foes Super Nintendo
I still don't understand why The Amazing Spider Man Lethal Foes was a Japan-only release. Spider-Man is well known around the world, so fans of the character are sure to purchase copies of this game. Whatever the reason, the game never left Japan and many people don't even know it exists. So I was very excited to play a fan-translated version.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone PlayStation 2
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the most modern version of the game on the PS1. It is based on the book by JK Rowling, and also on the film, released in 2001.
Wolverine Adamantium Rage Super Nintendo
Wolverine Adamantium Rage is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Bits Studios and published by good old LJN. An alternate version of this game was developed by Teeny Weeny Games and published by Acclaim for the Genesis. The Genesis version has few similarities to the SNES version we'll cover, but it's an interesting note.
Grand Theft Auto PlayStation 1
And so is the beginning of the Grand Theft Auto game by DMA (Don't Mean Anything) Designs. Grand Theft Auto was a game released in 1997-1998 and gained a lot of appreciation from fans due to its adult content.
Prophecy I The Viking Child Atari Lynx
Prophecy I The Viking Child, Can't a man fulfill his destiny in peace? Viking kid Brian was sitting at home when the Norse god Loki showed up (between seasons on Ghouls and Ghosts, natch). Concerned by the prophecy that Brian would become a powerful Viking leader, Loki kidnapped Brian's family, took them across the land, and challenged the young man to rescue them. If Brian can survive rescuing his family, he may one day fulfill this destiny.
Mega Man II Game Boy
Mega Man II for the Game Boy, not to be confused with Mega Man 2 for the NES, is the second of five spin-offs developed for Nintendo's esteemed handheld. (In Japan, this game was known as Rockman World 2, easier to distinguish from its Famicom progenitor, Rockman 2.) Like the previous Game Boy entry, Mega Man II's development was not handled by Capcom, but was instead outsourced to another development team, one that seems moderately familiar with the source material.
The Adventures of Batman & Robin Super Nintendo
The Adventures of Batman & Robin. Deep in the bowels of Gotham City, an evil organization is plotting to destroy Batman's reputation. Disguised as a simple video game company known as Acclaim, these villains have dedicated their lives to starring as the Caped Crusader in a series of generic Final Fight rip-offs based on their feature films. Batman, the Dark Knight himself, is powerless against these demons as they continue to drive his name into the ground with generic games. However, there is still one last ray of hope…
Ghost in the Shell PlayStation 1
The first thing I should mention is that if you want to play Ghost in the Shell and are hoping to find something similar to the amazing Japanese animation, don't bother. The anime was more of a side story to the manga (comic). This game is based on the manga, which is the real world of Ghost in the Shell. Get ready for the trip.
Batman The Video Game Game Boy
Batman The Video Game is a simple action platformer with a couple of levels that play like a horizontal scrolling shooter. It is an original game and not a port of Sunsoft's previous Batman NES game, or any other Batman game of the time.
