Dino Crisis 2 PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 - Dino Crisis 2 - Box - Front Image (Europe)

Duke Nukem Time to Kill PlayStation 1 PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 Duke Nukem Time to Kill - Box - Front (Europe)

Duke Nukem Time to Kill is the perfect game. Because? Because it's fucking fun. And that's something that's severely lacking in many of today's (and yesterday's) games. The man who saved our chicks has returned. This is one of the most entertaining PlayStation games I've ever played and a pretty good Duke Nukem one.

Dino Crisis PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 Dino Crisis - Box - Front (Europe)

Forget the rumors. The magnificent Dino Crisis is NOT a mediocre version of Resident Evil. Dino Crisis is a cutting-edge survival horror experience in its own right that pushed everything in the genre forward: physics, combat, puzzles, character drama, and gore. The coppery taste of mortality that lingers in your mouth after each playthrough is testament to some powerful and surprisingly well-developed horror themes that contrast high-tech with bland flesh and blood.

Independence Day – The Game PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 Independence Day - Box - Front (Europe)

Independence Day – The Game was one of the first titles I reviewed for the Play Station almost three years ago. At that point, I had a moment to think about seeing if the PC title had anything worth talking about and came up short. The Play Station version and the PC version of the game are exactly the same in every way, right down to the glaring problems you encounter from the moment you boot up the game and take your first stroll through the seemingly endless stages.

Grand Theft Auto PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 Grand Theft Auto - Box - Front (North America)

And so is the beginning of the Grand Theft Auto game by DMA (Don't Mean Anything) Designs. Grand Theft Auto was a game released in 1997-1998 and gained a lot of appreciation from fans due to its adult content.

Ghost in the Shell PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 Ghost in the Shell - Box - Front (Europe)

The first thing I should mention is that if you want to play Ghost in the Shell and are hoping to find something similar to the amazing Japanese animation, don't bother. The anime was more of a side story to the manga (comic). This game is based on the manga, which is the real world of Ghost in the Shell. Get ready for the trip.

Siphon Filter PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 Syphon Filter - Box - Front (Europe)

Siphon Filter. The stealth genre is one that has increased in popularity to ridiculous proportions, games like Tenchu and Metal Gear Solid have given this style quite a large fan base at the same time.

Xmen Mutant Academy PlayStation 1

PlayStation 1 X-Men Mutant Academy - Box - Front (Europe)

Back when promotion was starting to ramp up for Activision's XMen Mutant Academy, I couldn't see why the world needed it. I understood why it would come out since Fox's first XMen movie was on the way and there was money to be made, but other than that, I never felt like it was a game I needed.

Alien Resurrection PlayStation 1

Playstation 1 Alien Resurrection - Box - Front (Europe)

Alien Resurrection was developed by Argonaut Software and released for PS1. Alien Resurrection went through a long and difficult development period. The game was supposed to be released around the same time the movie hit theaters in 1997. It was also supposed to come out on the Saturn and PC. Originally intended to be a Loaded-style overhead shooter. When Fox Interactive sent the developers real reference material in addition to the generic 'it's an Alien movie', the people at Argonaut decided that aerial shooters were no longer so fashionable and after the success of Tomb Raider they opted for an action game and third person adventures.

Gran Turismo PlayStation 1

Playstation 1 Gran Turismo - Box - Front (Europe)

Although Gran Turismo was released in 1998, the game was in production for quite some time. The game's development time took three years, three years of development that were very well spent. The game's producer, Kazunori Yamauchi, is a huge car fan and after playing Gran Turismo, it's very clear why.
