Asterix Master System Tricks
These are the tricks tested and that work 100%
Cheats 1: Infinite Lives
When you reach a special treasure jar, hit it to make bonuses fly out, collect the extra life and exit the screen, then return to the chest to collect another life. Continue this until you have enough lives to complete the game.
Cheats 2: Secret Rooms
Secret Room 1
In round 1-1 as Asterix, enter the second pit using the red bombs and head to the left of the screen as far as you can. Then jump next to the blocks at the top of the pit and hold left to go through the wall and into a secret room.
Secret Room 2
In round 1-1 as Obelix, go to the first pit and stand on the platform to the left of the screen. When it falls, walk left to go through a wall into the room.
Secret Room 3
In round 2-1 as Asterix, jump down on the right edge of the space below the first two spinning platforms and hold right. Alternatively, jump across the first gap and head right, then punch jump from one of the parachuting enemies and hold right to go through the wall and into a secret room.
Secret Room 3B
In round 2-1 as Asterix, once you reach the second rotating platform above the water, quickly jump to enter a secret area.
Secret Room 3C
In round 2-1 as Asterix, dive and continue to the right until you reach a wall. Float down until you're near the bottom of the screen and hold right to go through the wall into a secret room.
Secret Room 4
Play as Obelix in round 2-1, jump to the rotating platforms to the Menhir container and then jump to the platform above. Take small steps where there is no grass and you will suddenly fall into a secret room.
Secret Room 4B
In round 2-1 as Obelix, once you reach the last rotating platform before the water, jump on it from below when it is spinning, then quickly jump to enter a secret area.
Secret Room 4C
In round 2-1 as Obelix, dive and continue to the right until you reach a wall. Float down until you're near the bottom of the screen and hold right to go through the wall into a secret room.
Cheats 3: Round Selection (Hacking Required)
There is a level select, but it has been deliberately removed from the final ROM. There are several ways to reset it:
- Use a Pro Action Replay cartridge with code
