Cheats 1: 99 lives
Fly to the cave full of spikes in level 1. Once you see the 3-Up, grab it and then let yourself die. Repeat this process until you get 99 lives.
Cheats 2: Extra Lives
When you start Level 5, fall down the first chasm on the right. At the bottom of the pit, walk to the right, sink and go under the rocks to get a leaf and a 3-UP. Die and repeat to get up to 99 lives.
