Alien 3 NES
While Alien 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System stays faithful to the franchise, it deviates from its relationship with the film by having more than one alien and real weapons to find them. It's a welcome twist, because I'd rather have something to shoot at and something to kill. The developers could have gone the stealth route, but who wants to be vulnerable when video games are power fantasies?
Desert Strike Return to the Gulf Atari Lynx
The game Desert Strike Return to the Gulf, a very popular top-down tactical warfare/shooter game in its day, would see ports released on many consoles and home computers such as the Commodore Amiga in the early 90s. Perhaps the best known versions are the which came out for the SNES and Sega Mega Drive, and the aforementioned Amiga version, but this game would also have a port for the Sega Master System, published by Domark and released in Europe in 1992. There were quite a few Mega Drive games that also saw simplified ports in the 8-bit master system in the last few years of its lifespan, some didn't turn out as good as others, but surprisingly, the SMS Desert Strike, while understandably not as technically or aesthetically impressive as its 16-bit counterparts, is still designed as in such a way that the system handles it very well.

Although today a game like Kid Icarus wouldn't be considered anything spectacular, but for a game that was released over a decade ago, this is one of the best platform games you can find and play. your Nintendo entertainment system! With mazes, mythology, items, and even an interesting weapons system, it's hard to find another game like it anywhere else. The distinction of being one of the first NES games to have a battery saver is what makes this type of game, simple, but fun to play, truly special.
