Cheats Battletoads Sega Mega Drive
These are the tricks tested and that work 100%
Cheats 1: 6 Lives
At the title screen or continue press and hold Down + B + A and press Start. An explosion confirms the trick.
This is only valid in the US and European versions and will not work in the Japan version.
Cheats 2: Level selection and 10 lives
At the title screen, press Up, Down, Up, Up, Down, C, A and B.
Tricks 3: Easy lives
At the beginning of level 2, you will descend through a hole in a cable. If you hit the crows multiple times, you can use the points to farm them for extra lives. Do this with all the crows you find and it's an easy way to rack up some extra lives.
Tricks 4: Warps
Warp from level 1 to level 3
To go to level 3 (Turbo Tunnel) from level 1, headbutt the first two enemies to quickly dispatch them and run to the platform in the upper right corner on the next screen. On the platform, you will see the warp that will take you to level 3.
Level 3 to Level 5 Warp
To go to level 5 (Surf City) from level 3, hit the tenth wall located at the bottom of the screen. You will come to a section that has a bunch of walls in a row that you need to avoid by moving down and up, counting the walls, when you get to the tenth one there will be a warp in front of it.
Warp from level 4 to level 6
To get to level 6 from level 4, get to the point in the level where you can use a falling platform to lower the level. Lower the platform and keep jumping so it starts taking you back to the top. This will cause a warp to appear at the top that will take you to level 6.
Deformation from stage 6 to stage 8
To go to level 8 from level 6 (Karnaths Lair), reach the second snake nest by heading to the upper right climbing the snakes. Once at the second snake nest, jump all the way to the far right while avoiding the nearby spikes. On the platform you will see the warp that will take you to level 8 (Intruder Excluder).
Tricks 5: 10 Continues (Japanese Version)
On the title screen, press and hold Down + Left and press star. If done right, you should hear a crashing sound.

The good news is that it attempts to tell a new story: the evil wizard Mordroc attacked a caravan containing the mystical Stone of Life, which, of course, gives the bearer unlimited power and immortality, and, of course, kidnapped Princess Daphne. However, one of Daphne's servants has broken the Stone of Life into numerous pieces and scattered them across the land. Now Dirk must pick up all the pieces, stop Mordroc, and save Daphne once again.
Mortal Kombat 2 Super Nintendo
Mortal Kombat 2 (Midway, 1994), between the Super Nintendo and Sega Mega Drive, was my particular favorite for either system, as this was a game that showed huge improvements over the original in almost every area, and had a fighting game system that was fun, easy to learn and get good at, and a challenging single-player challenge mode.
