Tricks 1: Music Test:
Select an empty save file, and in mode selection, scroll down to Two Player Contest and continue pressing DOWN on the D-pad five times. You can listen to all the songs in the game by clicking on the crosshead on the sides.
Cheats 2: Cheat Mode:
Select an empty save file, and in mode selection, scroll down to Two Player Contest and continue pressing DOWN on the D-pad ten times.
Now that you are in Cheat Mode, you can activate the different cheats... which are only two, and both affect only new games. You can choose if you want a softer experience… or more challenging.
- 50 extra lives: Y – A – Select – A – Down – Left – A – Down. You start the game with 50 lives.
- Hard mode: B – A – Right – Right – A – Left – A – X. This mode eliminates all DK barrels (to recover the partner) and star barrels (checkpoint)
